We are excited to have Ray and Sylvia joining For The Kingdom. Ray will be the new Executive Director and Sylvia will be serving in the capacity as Camp Operation Supervisor. They have served alongside each other for 22 years in different capacities of varying youth ministries and camps. Shortly after they married, Ray and Sylvia moved to Brownwood, Texas where Ray worked at the Texas Juvenile Facility, ministering to the most at-risk kids from the State of Texas. In 1997, they moved to Oklahoma City and served as Youth Pastors for eight years at Britton Christian Church. While in OKC, Ray served in different areas in the community. Served on the Board of the Urban Impact Foundation, and facilitated the OKC Drug Prevention Program. Each year during the summer, the Arechiga’s took over 1,000 kids from their church/community to Kids Across America (Urban Sports Camp). In 2000, Ray and Sylvia were hired to be Directors at KAA 2, the middle school branch of Kids Across America camps, and faithfully served there for 14 years. In 2014, Ray was hired as Executive Director and Sylvia to Sr. Women’s Director for the Urban initiative camp for Stoney Creek Foundation in Houston Texas; they were blessed to lead and grow in enrollment each year. This past October FTK reached out to the Arechiga’s to pray about joining the FTK team and guiding them toward becoming the premier urban camp in Memphis! It is with great excitement we introduce you to the newest FTK family members Ray and Sylvia Arechiga.
Ray and Sylvia are excited to watch the Lord continue to transform our city through the ministry of For The Kingdom. They have been married for 22 years and have 7 children; KristiAnna, David, RayRay, Kayle, Jacob, Gabriella and DaQuan.
